The recent Year 6 production of Alice in Wonderland JR. was a truly moving and memorable event. It was a celebration not only of our pupils’ incredible talent and commitment, but of everything we value in the performing arts at Richmond House School.

Reflecting on the occasion, Headteacher Mrs Sharon Young shared:

“At Richmond House, we believe that performing arts play a vital role in a child’s development. Whether it’s on stage, behind the scenes, or in the rehearsal room, these experiences foster creativity, teamwork, resilience, and confidence. They give pupils the chance to express themselves, take risks, and support one another – all within an environment that is as joyful as it is enriching.

Watching our Year 6 pupils shine so brightly, delighting their audience and lifting one another up, was a perfect reflection of why we place such strong emphasis on drama and music across the school.”

Director of Music and Performing Arts, Mrs MacGregor, echoed this pride:

“Alice in Wonderland JR. was an immersive and committed journey from start to finish, shaped by steep learning curves along the way. Our Year 6 children rose to that challenge, bringing each moment to life with genuine focus and growing confidence. Their performances balanced humour, energy and control, reflecting the effort and resilience they invested throughout the process. It was a rewarding production to watch, and we are extremely proud of what they achieved.”
