Year 1 had a fantastic day exploring Ilkley Moor and the local town landmarks. Thankfully, the sun came out, and the children enjoyed spending time outdoors in the fresh air.

During the visit, the children sketched the beautiful landscape and listened to the story of how the famous Cow and Calf rocks were formed. The trip supported thier geography learning as they compared local landmarks in Ilkley with landmarks in London and explored the differences between towns and cities.

They were also very grateful to Christ Church for allowing us to use their facilities for our picnic. The children enjoyed having a sneak peek around the church, which also helped support their RE learning.

Miss Todhunter commented, “The behaviour has been superb. We are very proud of these lovely children.”
