Year 5 have returned from an action-packed residential filled with challenge, discovery and adventure in the great outdoors.
The children took part in an exciting range of activities, including ghyll scrambling and canoeing, showing fantastic enthusiasm and a brilliant ‘go for it’ attitude throughout. We were incredibly proud of the way they embraced every challenge with determination, teamwork and positivity.
Alongside their water-based activities, pupils explored some of the most stunning landscapes in the area. They visited Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss, taking in the natural beauty and learning more about the local environment.
Their adventure continued with scrambling over Brimham Rocks, a hike up Simon’s Seat, and a lively orienteering challenge, all of which encouraged resilience, problem-solving and collaboration.
It was a memorable residential full of excitement, achievement and shared experiences that the children will remember for years to come.
