This half term, pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 have begun an exciting new block of learning in PE – basketball!
On Monday afternoon, our Year 3 and 4 pupils focused on developing their skills through plenty of game-based learning and coaching. It was brilliant to see their teamwork, energy, and enthusiasm on full display.
Over the past year, basketball has become one of the most popular sports at Richmond House. Thanks to the generous support of our Parents’ Association, brand-new basketball nets were installed on the top playground, a project championed by a Sports Prefect and House Captain, who presented their vision for enhancing play and skill development across the school. Their passion and initiative have left a lasting legacy, inspiring pupils to get involved in the sport.
Since then, basketball has continued to thrive. Pupils enjoyed a fantastic summer basketball camp with Mr Caygill, and this term, our Year 5 pupils are taking part in a dedicated after-school basketball club.
