We are immensely proud of our incredibly talented and hardworking Year 6 pupils, who delivered two spectacular performances of Matilda which sent their audiences into raptures.
Our children, alongside our marvellous members of staff, have worked tirelessly over recent months and produced an unforgettable afternoon and evening of live theatre which will live long in the memory.
Headteacher, Mrs Young, commented: “The Year 6 musical production of Matilda left me truly humbled. Our pupil’s talent, hard work, and joy shone brightly. To see their teamwork, support for one another, pride in their performances, and delight in their peers’ contributions was heartwarming.
A huge thank you to the staff involved: the admin team, the staff who spent their Friday evening supporting and helping with cleanup, Mr Heaton for his prop making, and Mrs Angela Young for her tireless support and input throughout the entire process. There was not a Miss Trunchbull in sight!
I extend a special thanks to Miss Hugh for her outstanding contribution to the performance, bringing in her drama expertise. Additionally, I must also acknowledge the exceptional talent of Mrs MacGregor, who continually sets us apart from other schools with her remarkable dedication and creativity.”
