I am sitting writing this feeling an overwhelming sense of pride, a feeling that has not left me since our wonderful Prize Day yesterday. Thank you so much to each and every one of you for making it such a special day: staff, parents, extended family members, our special guests, and of course the children themselves. It really was a celebration of everything that resembles Richmond House, and I thank you for your kind words and emails that I have received this morning. I am delighted that the changes to the day were well received and that you all felt included.

This action-packed day included:

  • A celebration of each year group.
  • Recognition of individuals achievements.
  • Head Pupils talks to year groups.
  • An array of beautiful performances delivered by our musicians and dancers.
  • The debut performance of our new school song ‘Reach Your Peak’.
  • An excellent speech delivered by former Richmond House parent and Guest Speaker, Mr Ian Sugarman.
  • A fascinating interview of Richmond House Alumni, Miss Holly Sugarman and Miss Sophia Brazier, conducted by Year 6 pupils.
  • The first screening of the Year 6 Leavers Video.

The day was finished off with our lovely Summer Social, and as always, I am immensely grateful to the PA for once again organising another fantastic event; I am already looking forward to the Bonanza in September. It was lovely to have a chance to mingle with you all, as well as watching the children play in our beautiful grounds. I am sure, like me, you felt the emotion of being a part of such a fantastic school community, and I hope that feeling remains with us all as we head into the excitement of the last week of the school year.
