As part of this years harvest festival celebrations we asked Richmond House School families to donate food and toiletries for local homeless charity St George’s Crypt. We were inundated with kind offers this year and in total have collected 24 bags and boxes of produce.

On Wednesday 2 November, some members of our School Council visited St George’s Crypt to drop off the donations which were greatly received by staff at the charity. A member of the St Georges Crypt team kindly gave pupils a quick tour of the charity and gave them a brief insight in to its history and how it now operates.

As part of the visit members of the School Council were presented with a thank you certificate for the food donations and the £300 raised at our Harvest Festival Service on 14 October. Since 2011, the grand total of our donations to St George’s Crypt is £2,506.34.

We would like to thank all those Richmond House families who have helped support the fantastic work of this local charity.
