We are deeply saddened to learn that Moorlands School will be closing in December 2025, and our thoughts are very much with the pupils, families and staff affected by this news.
We understand this will be an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for many families. Please be assured that we are here to support you as you explore the next steps for your child’s education.
Richmond House School is in a strong and secure financial position, with robust reserves and healthy pupil numbers throughout the school. We are a two-form entry school with excellent pupil numbers, and we remain fully committed to providing a nurturing, high-quality education in a secure and thriving environment. Richmond House is a stand-alone school, a registered company and charity. This means that we publish our annual trustees report on Companies House and the Charity Commission websites every year, for everyone to access. This document includes financial accounts, where you can see a healthy surplus and financial reserves are reported every year. It also includes a report from the governors, who are the company directors and charity trustees, on performance, a review of the past year, and strategy and objectives for the future. The annual trustees report is independently audited each year by external auditors who check that it represents a true and fair view and includes a specific statement on being a Going Concern – that is, that the school can meet its financial obligations and will continue operating in the foreseeable future.
