At Richmond House, we provide a stimulating, fun and safe learning environment within our Nursery and Pre-School. We nurture and challenge enquiring young minds, ensuring a happy and confident beginning to each child’s educational journey.
Experienced and qualified staff
Our children are supported by mature, experienced and highly qualified teachers and staff, who are dedicated to providing the very best care and education.

A rich and balanced curriculum
We follow the Early Years Statutory Framework alongside the Government’s Development Matters guidance; however, our provision extends far beyond these requirements. We offer an extensive programme of specialist lessons, led by expert teachers, which significantly enriches and broadens the children’s experience. These specialist lessons include gardening, kitchen club, languages, library visits, movement play, music, outdoor learning, PE, sensory sessions and yoga.

Focussed learning and development
Alongside these enriching specialist lessons, children take part in fun and engaging focused maths and literacy sessions led by our qualified teachers, helping to build strong foundations for the educational journey ahead. Richmond House School is truly a place where children are happy to learn.

Learning through play and challenge
We provide the perfect balance of academic challenge and engaging, play-based experiences. Our approach supports both educational achievement and a love of learning through vibrant, hands-on opportunities.

Exceptional facilities
Our setting offers far more than a single classroom and outdoor area. Children enjoy access to an adventure playground, bowling green, gym, library, music room, yurt and over 10 acres of fields.
Our Outdoor Learning programme plays a key role in supporting holistic development, fostering a love for nature and bringing the curriculum to life. Lessons take place in our dedicated Outdoor Learning Area, which includes a yurt classroom, mini woodland, fire pit and mini-beast area. Pupils also enjoy time in the secret garden, where they learn to plant and harvest seasonal produce.

Performances and special moments
Children take part in a range of performances and events throughout the year, which are highlights of the school calendar and create lasting memories for families. These include our much-loved Sports Day, held across our 10 acres of fields, as well as seasonal performances and our Summer Social.

Educational visits and experiences
Using our school minibuses, children take part in a range of exciting trips and visits linked to their learning, helping to develop their confidence, curiosity and social skills.
