This week, we celebrated Multicultural Week. The focus of the week was to celebrate cultural diversity and broaden our pupils’ understanding of different faiths and traditions. Each class explored a religious festival from one of the major world religions, learning about the culture it comes from, why the festival is celebrated, and how it is observed.
We were also delighted to welcome visitors from different faith communities, who spoke to pupils and shared their experiences.
Throughout the week, pupils took part in a range of creative activities, including learning dances, dressing up, tasting traditional foods, listening to cultural music and stories, and expressing their learning through art. It was a vibrant and enriching experience for everyone. On Thursday, pupils came dressed in clothing that celebrated their heritage in a culturally appropriate and respectful way or wore something bright and colourful to represent themselves.
We are very grateful to the Parents’ Association, who kindly contributed towards the cost of the event. Parents also supported us by helping with the Easter hunt, decorations, and providing food for tasting – thank you for your continued support.
A big thank you to Miss Aggarwal for all the time and effort she dedicated to organising the week and for creating such a wonderful experience for everyone.
