At Richmond House School, we take great pride in preparing our pupils for the next stage of their education, whether that is at leading independent schools, selective grammar schools, or non-selective state schools.
Applications to independent and selective grammar schools involve entrance assessments in Year 6, and we ensure that every child is thoroughly supported and well prepared for these important examinations.
We are therefore delighted to celebrate the success of our Year 6 pupils, who have achieved outstanding results in this year’s entrance examinations. Our pupils have secured places at a range of leading independent and grammar schools across the region, where we are confident they will continue to thrive.
This remarkable success has been achieved not only through the excellent teaching and preparation in Year 6, but also thanks to all the teachers throughout the school who have supported and guided the pupils to this point. Their dedication, encouragement, and expertise have been instrumental in helping the children reach this milestone, and we extend our sincere thanks to them.
This year’s cohort has been awarded an impressive number of scholarships across a variety of disciplines, including academic, music, drama and overall scholarships. These awards are a wonderful recognition of the pupils’ hard work, talent and commitment, as well as the support and guidance they have received during their time at Richmond House.
Our pupils have received offers from several highly regarded independent schools, including Ashville College, Bradford Grammar School, Duchy College, Gateways School, The Grammar School at Leeds, and Woodhouse Grove School. In addition, a number of pupils have successfully gained places at selective grammar schools including Ermysted’s Grammar School, Heckmondwike Grammar School, and Ripon Grammar School.
Headteacher, Mrs Sharon Young, commented: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils and all that they have achieved. When speaking with headteachers at senior schools, it is always wonderful to hear how highly they speak of our children — not only for their academic ability, but also for their confidence, poise and the positive attitude they bring. These qualities help them stand out and ensure they continue to flourish in the next stage of their education.”
We congratulate all of our Year 6 pupils on these excellent achievements. While their senior school journeys are beginning to take shape, there is still so much for them to look forward to during the remainder of their time at Richmond House, and we are excited to see them continue to grow, lead and enjoy all that their final year at the school has to offer.
