Year 5 pupils had a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of Sikhism with a visit to the GNNSJ Gurdwara in Leeds.
In their RE lessons, the children have been learning about how Sikhs symbolise and show their commitment to their faith. Visiting the Gurdwara gave them the chance to experience a Sikh place of worship first-hand, where they learned about and saw a range of important Sikh artefacts.
The visit also offered a wonderful cultural experience, as the pupils had the opportunity to try some traditional Indian foods, making it a memorable and enriching day for everyone involved.
