In Design and Technology, Year 3 pupils have been exploring pneumatic moving images through an exciting and creative project. The children began by designing their own monsters, carefully deciding which part of their creation would move. They then learned about pneumatic features, such as syringes and tubing, and how these could be used to create movement.

Using this knowledge, pupils planned which parts of their monsters would move — from tongues and mouths to eyes and other fun features. They worked with a wide range of resources, including burger boxes, balloons, piping, paint and a variety of decorative materials, using tools such as hot glue guns to assemble their designs.

The result has been a fantastic display of imagination, problem-solving and practical skills, with each child creating a unique pneumatic monster of their own. The classroom has certainly been full of creativity and innovation!
