Our Headteacher, Mrs Young, reflects on what has been a brilliant first term of the academic year:
“What a term it has been. As we come to the end of the autumn term and prepare to break for Christmas, I find myself reflecting with great pride on all that our Richmond House community has achieved over the past few months.
September marked a significant moment for the school, as we warmly welcomed many new families into our community. It has been a joy to see how quickly these families have become part of school life, enriching an already vibrant and caring community. The sense of belonging, support and shared values that define Richmond House has only grown stronger as a result.
Over the summer, I felt a real sense of excitement about the staffing we were putting in place for September, alongside the natural anticipation that comes with change. I am delighted to say that this excitement was very well placed. New and established members of staff have come together with professionalism, warmth and generosity, working collaboratively to support our pupils and one another. I would also like to thank all of our staff for the tireless commitment, care and dedication they have shown throughout the term – their hard work underpins everything we do and makes Richmond House such a special place to be.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Parents’ Association. Their energy, commitment and generosity have made a real difference to school life this term, creating wonderful opportunities for our pupils and bringing our community together in meaningful ways. I am extremely grateful to everyone who has supported the PA’s efforts — we truly could not do it without you.
To our families, thank you for your continued trust and belief in Richmond House. Each day, those of us working within the school are fortunate to witness countless moments of learning, growth and joy. My hope is that through our events, communications and shared experiences, you have been able to glimpse just how often your child is celebrated and valued.
As we look ahead to the Christmas break, I wish you all a restful, happy and joyful holiday. I very much look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year for what promises to be another exciting and rewarding term.”
