This term, our Reception pupils have been exploring celebrations from different cultures around the world. As part of their learning, they enjoyed a wonderful visit to St Chad’s Church, where they took part in a wedding role-play. Dressed for the occasion, the children enthusiastically stepped into different roles within the ceremony, helping them to understand the traditions and significance of a church wedding.

Back in school, the celebration continued as the pupils made their very own wedding cupcakes. They carefully measured the ingredients, mixed everything together, and baked the cupcakes in the oven. Once cooled, they decorated them with icing sugar and colourful sprinkles – a delightful and hands-on way to round off their wedding-themed learning.
