We were delighted to welcome the Northern Ballet Academy to Richmond House, where their incredible teacher, accompanied by a wonderful pianist, led inspiring ballet workshops for pupils in Years 3 and 4.

Each session included a warm-up introducing key ballet techniques, followed by creative movement activities and a calming cool-down. Using the story of Little Red Riding Hood as the theme, pupils brought the tale to life, creating an enchanting forest, moving as Red Riding Hood through its different parts while exploring a range of emotions, picking apples for Grandma, and even transforming into the menacing wolf.

The children threw themselves into the workshops, discovering both the artistry and physical challenge of ballet while thoroughly enjoying the experience. It was truly heartening to see them embracing new techniques and exploring new ways of moving with such enthusiasm.
