Our Year 5 pupils have once again taken on an important leadership role within our school community as lunchtime monitors, following the success of this initiative with last year’s Year 5 cohort.

Operating on a rota system, they support our younger pupils with their lunchtime routines each day. Having now been in place for a few weeks, their efforts have already made a noticeable difference, helping to create a calm, organised, and welcoming atmosphere in the dining hall.

This role gives our Year 5 pupils the chance to act as positive role models while developing teamwork, responsibility, and leadership skills. It also helps prepare them for the additional responsibilities they will take on in Year 6 and fosters a strong sense of pride and community across the school.

We are incredibly proud of how enthusiastically they have embraced this role and the positive impact they are making each day.
