Our U11 rugby players travelled to Giggleswick School in the Yorkshire Dales to take part in a fantastic tournament against a number of other schools. Both our Green and Yellow Teams performed brilliantly throughout the day, showing great teamwork, skill, and determination.
The Green Team enjoyed a clean sweep, winning all six of their fixtures, while the Yellow Team also recorded some excellent results and impressed with their effort and spirit. A special mention goes to our Year 6 pupils, who did a fantastic job welcoming and integrating the Year 5 players into the squad, who themselves stepped up superbly.
The progress from our games lessons was clear to see on the pitch. The boys put into practice what they’ve been working hard on in training, not just in contact and tag rugby, but also in recognising the right moment to offload, getting quick passes away, and switching the point of attack. Their efforts drew praise from other coaches and managers, who could see just how much progress they’ve made this term.
It was wonderful to see all of their hard work paying off in such a positive way. Well done to all involved!
