Year 5 had a fantastic day at Murton Park, fully immersing themselves in the life of a Viking settlement.
The children threw themselves into a wide range of activities, from preparing food and grinding flour, to crafting Viking-style pottery and taking part in traditional board games. They also experienced typical household tasks, bringing history to life in a hands-on and engaging way. One of the most popular moments of the day was standing guard at the village gates, learning how to protect their community from possible attacks.
It was a wonderful day of learning, fun, and teamwork, and Year 5 returned full of enthusiasm (and plenty of Viking knowledge to share!).
