Richmond House Headteacher, Mrs Sharon Young, reflects on the joy of watching our youngest pupils grow and thrive:
“Often in school life, we celebrate the incredible achievements of our older pupils – their successes in exams, competitions, performances, and leadership roles. But just as important is the journey that begins in our very youngest years, and it is a joy to reflect on the remarkable progress being made by our Nursery, Pre-School and Reception children.
These early years lay the essential foundations for everything that follows. From developing a love of learning, early language and number skills, to building confidence, independence, and social awareness, our youngest pupils are already showing the qualities that will prepare them for future success.
None of this would be possible without the dedication and expertise of our wonderful teachers and teaching assistants, who create such nurturing, stimulating environments for our children to grow and thrive. Their creativity, patience and commitment make all the difference, and we are incredibly grateful for the passion they bring into the classroom every day.
It’s a privilege to witness our youngest pupils’ curiosity, creativity and resilience grow each day. The smiles, discoveries and “lightbulb” moments happening in these classrooms remind us that every great achievement starts with strong beginnings.”
