The Richmond House School community came together in full force to line Otley Road and cheer on the amazing participants of the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon. It was a privilege to support such an inspiring event. With cheers, encouragement, and much-needed refreshments, we helped lift spirits and energise runners as they passed by the school.
One of our Richmond House parents and marathon participants shared their reflections on what made this year’s event so special:
“The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon was a true Richmond House affair for me, from the meticulous trainingschedule composed by a Year 3 parent, to countless hours of training runs with fellow parents, and the incredibly generous support from across the RHS community.
The support on the day from RHS volunteers was fantastic, not just for the many RHS parents taking part, but for all those running. The ice pops, cheers and incredible signage was a huge boost to morale on a hot and hilly course.
A huge thank you from me, the event showed the true Richmond House spirit in memory of a sporting legend who dared to dream.”
