On the final day of the Spring term Richmond House came alive with excitement as we held a special House event! Pupils from Reception to Year 6 arrived dressed in their House colours, proudly representing Aire, Nidd, Swale and Wharfe.

The morning kicked off with a fantastic mix of activities including egg decorating, making bunny ears, biscuit decorating (and eating!), and writing heartfelt letters to care home residents who may not have family – a touching way for our pupils to spread kindness beyond the school gates.

Later, our Year 6 pupils took charge of Enterprise Day, setting up a fantastic range of stalls and activities. With eight companies competing to make the most profit while keeping sustainability in mind, there was plenty on offer – slime, a caricature artist, a raffle, toys, plants, smoothies, crafts, balloon dogs, and much more! Pupils eagerly browsed the stalls, keen to support their classmates’ businesses.

Meanwhile, Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 had a wonderful time hunting for Easter eggs and enjoying special activities, kindly organised by parent Mrs Thornton. Over in Years 3, 4, and 5, creativity took centre stage as pupils decorated their own hard-boiled eggs, showing off their artistic skills. While Years 3 and 4 focused on decoration, Year 5 had an extra challenge, designing a structure to protect their eggs from a high drop!

To round off the day, pupils came together for a lively, laughter-filled House egg and spoon race.

It was a brilliant way to bring our school community together and wrap up the Spring term in true Richmond House style!
