We are delighted to announce the appointment of Miss Katie Moore as Richmond House School’s Neurodiversity Ambassador. This new role is dedicated to promoting awareness, understanding, and inclusion of neurodiverse pupils, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.

Miss Moore will work closely with staff, pupils, and families to foster an environment where differences are celebrated. Her key responsibilities will include:

  • Organising awareness activities to promote understanding and acceptance.
  • Supporting staff with tailored strategies for teaching neurodiverse learners.
  • Advocating for individual pupil needs and celebrating unique strengths.
  • Encouraging a culture of empathy and inclusion across the school.

Additionally, our teaching staff recently attended a neurodiversity awareness seminar and are currently completing training modules to embed best practices across all learning environments.

Headteacher, Mrs Sharon Young, shared: “Miss Moore holds a Level 4 certificate in Autism Awareness and has experience working in an SEN school, making her exceptionally well-qualified for this role. I truly believe our team is now even stronger with her expertise, helping to build staff confidence and awareness.”

We are excited about the positive impact this initiative will have on our school community and look forward to seeing it in action!
