Year 1 pupils enjoyed an exciting trip to Temple Newsam House as part of their Houses and Homes topic. During a morning workshop, they delved into the history of the house, learning how life evolved over time for its residents.

The children explored the contrasting lives of the wealthy and their servants, examined fascinating historical objects, dressed up in period costumes, and toured grand rooms fit for royalty alongside more modest spaces for servants. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that brought history to life!
