To enrich their understanding of religious studies, Year 4 had the pleasure of hosting Miss Odile, a lay practitioner of Buddhism from the Jamyang Centre in Holbeck. The children delved into the intricacies of Buddhism, learning about the significance of creating altars to showcase the three doors of Buddha, individual practices, and symbols. Additionally, they were guided through a meditation session, which provided a profound experience for all involved. The children demonstrated their knowledge and respect for Buddha’s teachings through thoughtful questions and attentive engagement throughout the session.
