This year, our Year 4 Outdoor Learning sessions are centred around the theme of ‘Team Building and Survival,’ where our pupils are mastering essential skills in communication and cooperation, alongside survival techniques.

To enrich this learning experience, our pupils recently embarked on a short journey to Leeds Beckett University to participate in the Carnegie Great Outdoors Bushcraft and Mindfulness in Nature session.

Amidst the serene outdoors, the children had a wonderful time with their friends, collaborating to gather building materials, constructing dens, and learning fire-lighting techniques under supervision. They immersed themselves in nature, indulged in mindful activities, and returned to Richmond House with slightly muddy clothes and beaming smiles.

We extend our gratitude to the fantastic team at Leeds Beckett Carnegie Great Outdoors for providing our pupils with such a memorable and enriching experience.
