This week we were delighted to unveil the Secret Garden. Our dedicated team of parents have worked tirelessly to clear what was a disused wasteland behind our Science classroom and have transformed it into a thriving garden that will provide endless opportunities for generations of Richmond House pupils.

We can’t wait to see the array of plants, flowers and vegetables that have been planted in our new beds, grow and flourish, and our fruit tress blossom.

Headteacher, Mrs Young, commented:

“To see the Secret Garden unveiled filled me with both excitement and gratitude.

This is a wonderful space that has already become a very special and inspiring place, that will go on to support the learning and wellbeing of our pupils.

One of our Year 3 pupils very generously asked that instead of receiving a birthday present this year, that the money that would have gone towards it, be used to buy a tree for the garden. Watching him during the unveiling, dig the hole and pile soil onto the tree, with a big grin on his face, showed the joy this garden can and will provide.

None of this would be possible without the energies and effort, never mind the expertise, of our incredible parent team and I cannot thank them enough!”
