We are proud that we foster a culture of community spirit in our school. By engaging with the wider community, children can learn to build stronger connections, respect, and empathy for the world around them.

On Thursday 3 November, class 4KA visit Adel Manor Care Home, a relatively new home that only opened in April this year a short drive from school. The class were invited to perform some songs and then in pairs read pages from some of their favourite books with some of the residents. Both staff and residents enjoyed the visit from the pupils and it was lovely to see some of the interactions between the pupils and residents throughout the visit.

Before returning to school, pupils were treated to a drink and some fruit as a thank you for their visit. We have plans to return to the Care Home again next month with another class and we are looking forward to planning further visits in the future which we feel would benefit both pupils and residents.
