We were delighted to welcome Jamie Peacock, former Professional Rugby League player and England and captain of Great Britain into school this week to talk to Years 3 – 6 about wellbeing and having a positive mindset. Since retiring Jamie has been doing a lot of work to promote mental health and wellbeing, particularly during lockdown.
He created a wellbeing and exercise programme for schools, he has written a book on how to be a champion and is encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds, not just sportspeople, to alter their mindset to maintain their wellbeing through ‘simple actions’.
He gave us some great tips about how we can be more positive and improve our health and wellbeing, which we can incorporate in school into our Wellbeing Star.
