Welcome to EYFS
Our well-equipped Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is made up of a Nursery where children can start from the term in which they turn 3 and 2 Reception classes.
Our Nursery and Reception classes provide a happy and nurturing environment for your child’s learning journey to begin. The early years are some of the most important and formative for our children, they begin to interact with others and they are curious to explore the exciting world around them.
At Richmond House we provide a safe and secure setting that encourages our children to learn in stimulating surroundings. We want our children to be confident and happy to learn.
Each Reception class consists of no more than 18 children and is taught by a fully qualified Early Years teacher and supported by an experienced teaching assistant.
Our Nursery is led by a fully qualified teacher, it provides an excellent introduction to school life and is an integral part of the main school. Children benefit from the wide range of facilities the School has to offer including the 10 acres of fields, outdoor yurt classroom, adventure playground, gymnasium, ICT suites and library. Weekly lessons include PE, French, Music, Drama, ICT , Outdoor Learning and Ballet.
With the Early Years Foundation Stage being curriculum based, our vision is to provide a secure and fun learning environment where children can develop into a happy, caring, questioning and confident individuals ready for the years ahead.
