Assistant Caretaker / Cleaning Supervisor

Richmond House School, the excellent rated independent preparatory school in Far Headingley, North Leeds is seeking a reliable and conscientious Assistant Caretaker / Cleaning Supervisor to join the school team.

The school educates children from 3 – 11 years of age, and is set in over 10 acres of sports fields.

Hours: 30 hours per week— 13:00—19:00 – Monday to Friday (plus other hours as may
be required).

Role includes:

  • Supervision of 5 cleaning staff
  • Cleaning and maintenance of school buildings
  • Keyholder responsibilities

Essential skills:

  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and COSHH
  • Good DIY skills
  • Category D1 driving licence

Governor Opportunity

Richmond House School is based in Far Headingley, North Leeds and is one of the region’s leading non-selective independent schools for children from 3 to 11 years of age. It is a Charity Limited by Guarantee and Governors are part of the Governing Body but also therefore Trustees, Directors and Members as well. The Governing Body is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join them to hold the school to account, to shape the vision of the school and to set the strategic direction. The particular roles that we are looking to fill are Governors who have a background in:

  • IT strategic development
  • Marketing and communications
  • Financial management including budgeting, management accounts and statutory accounts
