I have been popping into the Year 6 rehearsals this week where the children, Mrs Mullis and Mr Hawkins are working hard to improve their communication skills. Not an easy task, I can assure you, but I know the play will certainly be worth coming to see.
Developing children’s confidence and ability to communicate with others, whether it be written or verbal, is always a challenge. Younger children find it difficult to find the words to express themselves, whereas older children may have the words but often have far more important things to do than to talk to their families! Communication is also a challenge in schools between the school and parents and it is always on my agenda of how we can improve in efficiency and information given.
