The Year 6 visit to Paris is often the highlight of our pupils’ time at Richmond House School and this year was no exception. The five day trip is highly rewarding from curriculum, cultural and social perspectives and gives the pupils a taste of the main sights of Paris. It also provides them with the opportunity to practise the French language skills that they have been learning since Nursery.

The pupils visited key sites such as the Sacre Coeur Basilica and Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower and Montparnasse and the Tivoli Gardens. They toured the Stade de France – a particular favourite of the football fans and took a riverboat cruise. They also visited the local markets where they went shopping for souvenirs and had caricatures of themselves drawn and they sampled French food such as snails. They spent their final day at Disneyland Paris, where they were able to go on numerous rides and rollercoasters.

They all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed their time away from home with their friends before they embark on their next big adventure of moving to senior school.
