We held our annual Harvest celebration last Friday at St Chad’s Church. This was the first musical event for our new Director of Music, Mr Hawkins, and the children certainly did him proud. Year groups joined together to sing various Harvest related pieces, and the choir performed “Somewhere over the Rainbow” and “You Raise Me Up” beautifully. With readings and poems from Year 5 and a drama piece about the plight of homelessness and the work of St. George’s Crypt from Year 6, the performance was a fine ending to the first half term of the academic year.

Thank you for all the donations of food items and contributions to the retiring collection for St George’s Crypt. We raised just over £200 on the day which was in addition to the £1281 we raised last year through various fundraising events for the homeless charity.
