The school has its own gymnasium and 10 acres of playing fields adjoining the school incorporate football and rugby pitches, a cricket square, netball and tennis courts, two pavilions and uniquely a crown bowling green.

SPORTING ACTIVITIES

Local venues are in regular use by the school and provide first class facilities for indoor sports, including badminton, squash, swimming and cricket.

There are a good number of matches each term against other schools at U9, U10 and U11 level.

In addition, the call of the ‘Great Outdoors’ is not ignored. Outdoor activity weekends at Edale Youth Hostel and Winmarleigh Hall provide both high profile enjoyment and education for the older students in years four, five and six.

The school sports day proves to be an exciting annual event in which the school’s Houses compete with great enthusiasm.
