Any child arriving at school before 8.00am must be delivered to pre-school care. For their own safety, we must know they are at school. Please do not leave your child on the playground before 8.00am – there are no staff on duty.

NSPCC

On Monday 12th May, Sarah Tarpey, our local School Organiser from the NSPCC will be visiting our school to talk to the children about the work of her charity and how to keep themselves safe. I envisage that this will be both an informative and motivational assembly. Your child will bring home a special NSPCC activity sheet and sponsorship form. I do hope that you will feel able to support this worthy cause and allow your child to participate.

Match Results

Brilliant sunshine allowed the rounders teams to play their first matches of the season against Bronte House. Our U10’s were always in the lead and produced a convincing 14-6½ win. The U11’s match was much closer and despite being down after the first innings managed to produce some excellent fielding in the second innings and win 18-17½.

Our U11 cricketers also played Bronte House and started the game with some excellent fielding and Bronte only managed to score 64, unfortunately our batting did not match our fielding and we only scored 51. This was a good effort from the team and we will improve our batting before the next match!

Next Weeks Matches

Our U11, U10 and U9 rounders teams will play Leeds Girls at home on Tuesday 13 May starting at 3.40pm. Players may be collected at 4.45pm from the pavilion.

On Wednesday 14 May the U11 cricket team is playing Westville House at home starting at 2.30pm. The team may be collected from the pavilion at about 4.45pm.

Parents are of course, always welcome to support all matches. Good Luck.

Sports Day

Sports Day is on Thursday 15 May and on this day all pupils should arrive in school in their PE kit (white PE shirt, green shorts, white sports socks and trainers) with their tracksuit over the top (years 2-6) or a school jumper/cardigan over the top (Nursery – Year 1).

The Lower School Sports Day will start at 9.30am and the Upper School Sports Day at 1.30pm. All spectators are very welcome. Please sit on the Glen Road side of the track. There will be limited seating available but you may wish to bring your own chair. Teas and coffees will be available in the red brick pavilion 9.30-10.30am and 2 – 2.30pm.
