April 2008
Thank
you for all the warm words of welcome. It has been a great pleasure
to start to get to know your children and to have been able to meet
some of you this week. Please do take the opportunity to make yourself
known to me informally, as I will be at the front door at the end
of most days – or, if you would prefer, make an appointment
via Marissa to come in for a chat. I am very much looking forward
to the events of the coming term and hope to see some of you at the
Spring Concert next week, or later at the School Ball.

TRIPS
If
your child is participating in a trip this term, you will see that
there is a new consent form. Please complete all sections of the form.
Some may duplicate information School already holds but it is necessary
for us to ensure that we have detailed and up to date information
when a child is off site.

UNIFORM
When
we return to school on Tuesday 6 May, all children should be in summer
uniform. There seems to be a little confusion concerning Year 6 girls
as there are varying interpretations of the March 2007 Newsletter
No 23. So FOR THIS YEAR ONLY Year 6 girls may continue to wear the
skirt instead of the dress this summer.

Congratulations
to Janardhan (1B) and his parents on the arrival of Utpalakshi. She
weighed in at 7lb 6oz at the start of this term.
We
have received leaflets concerning insurance for personal accident
for Year 6 leavers from HSBC. If you are interested in looking at
such cover, please pick up a leaflet from reception.
Parking
at drop-off and collection time is obviously more difficult now that
the yellow lines have been put in place. Please do not park in the
back lane as it causes great difficulties for our neighbours and to
other vehicles using the lane for access. A big thank you to those
of you leaving your cars a little further away and walking.
