Pastoral
Pastoral Care is an important aspect of school life at Richmond House School and as such we have a Deputy Head responsible for leading Pastoral Care who works closely with staff, pupils and parents to ensure the wellbeing and progress of all of our pupils.
Learning is not confined to the classroom and our School is proud to offer a diverse range of clubs, activities, events and trips to compliment our academic curriculum.
The breadth of activities offered aims to challenge pupils, build self-confidence and lead pupils to discover new interests and talents.
We have many high achievers in sporting fields as well as academically but above all are certain that all of our pupils leave Richmond House School as well rounded, considerate, self assured individuals with a great many essential skills for life.
At Richmond House School child protection is of paramount importance. Click here to view our Child Safeguarding and Protection Policy 2013
We have a Special Education Needs Coordinator on our staff to ensure that any child who is experiencing difficulties with classwork can get specific, expert help.
We will make every endeavour to sensitively accommodate any child’s specific needs and work with outside agencies, if required, to ensure each child has access to Richmond House School’s curriculum.
Extra lessons can be arranged for individuals or small groups, in our dedicated room or support can be given within the classroom. Following discussion with the family we will offer an initial assessment and advice.
