London Trip

Friday 1st February
We arrived at school all excited and happy to be away from our parents
for a
while. We set off for London with a long journey ahead of us. Most
people were excited to get to the service station to have some food
because we were
all hungry.
We
arrived at London at 2.15 p.m. and headed straight for the National
History Museum where we ate our packed lunches. We then split up into
our groups to look at all the exhibits. We visited the dinosaurs (raagh!)..the
diamonds (a girl's best friend) and of course.... the shop.
We
all had to rush to the coach otherwise we would have missed our slot
at bowling near the hotel. We went to the hotel and had our tea, dropped
our bags in our rooms and left. We had some very good bowlers (Mr
Oldham) and some okay bowlers (Mrs Blackie) and some not very good
bowlers (Miss Lloyd).
When we got back to the hotel we all went to bed.
Saturday
2nd February
With
an early start on a cold day, wrapped up warm and ready to go , we
set off for Hyde Park.
Miss Lloyd told us about 'speaker's corner' and how people shouted
their beliefs. Then we had some free time to run around and play.
As we walked through the park we managed to see the Royal Household
Guards - they looked fantastic!
After
that we went for a short river cruise on the Thames and had our packed
lunch. YUM! Following on we went on the London Eye - that was amazing!
Afterwards we went to Pizza Hut before going to see......the hills
are alive with the sound of music......The Sound of Music. It was
great. We had a fabulous day and were ready for some serious sleep.
Sunday
3rd February
We
dragged ourselves out of bed and ate a hearty breakfast before going
back to London to the Aquarium. After looking at a very wet exhibition
we set off on our journey home. We were met with a friendly greeting
from Mrs Godsave and our parents. Thank you to Miss Lloyd for organising
such a great weekend.
