Year 6 VICTORIAN MILL CHILDREN WORKSHOP - ARMLEY MILLS THURS 15TH & FRI 16TH NOVEMBER 2007 The children were involved in a role play session discovering the life of a mill child. They handled objects in the mill and in the mill cottages and were encouraged to guess what the objects were, whilst making comparisons between past and present and rich and poor. The children were motivated, their curiosity was aroused and the whole afternoon enabled the abstract to become more concrete.
